Dr. McClenahan is an honors graduate of both Valparaiso University, where he received his B.S. in biology and chemistry, and the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. He received his postgraduate Certificate as a Specialist in Periodontics at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry and was appointed an Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics. He has completed the world renowned Carl Misch Implant Fellowship at the Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Dr. McClenahan is a
Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and was asked to address his colleagues on the Diplomate Certification process at their annual meeting. He has presented various topics in periodontics at the Chicago Dental Society's Midwinter meeting.
He is a member of the dental staff at both Lake Forest Hospital and Condell Medical Center.
He is an active member of several national and professional organizations including the American Board of Periodontology, American Academy of Oral Implantology, American Dental Association, Illinois Dental Society and the Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. McClenahan lives in Lake Bluff with his wife and daughters. He spends his free time enjoying his family and bicycling.
